Arrival: Kilimanjaro/Arusha Airport - Arusha lodge

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro/Arusha Airport, you’re greeted with chilled bottled water and transferred (≈50 min) to Arusha Lodge. The afternoon is at leisure to unpack, freshen up, or explore the lodge grounds, with dinner on your own at the lodge restaurant and an overnight stay at Arusha Lodge.

Day 1: Arusha - Tarangire NP

Begin with sunrise tea at 06:30 AM, followed by a 07:00 AM buffet breakfast with fresh fruit and pastries. Depart Arusha at 08:00 AM for Tarangire National Park, arriving by 10:30 AM for a morning game drive among baobabs, spotting elephants, lions, zebras, and birds. Enjoy a 01:00 PM picnic lunch under acacia trees with grilled chicken or vegetarian options, followed by an afternoon game drive including a 15-minute talk on floodplain ecology. Arrive at Tarangire camp by 05:30 PM for a cold-towel welcome, tea and snacks at 06:30 PM, a three-course dinner at 07:30 PM, and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Tarangire – Central Serengeti National Park

Start your morning with sunrise tea at 06:30 AM followed by breakfast and a short briefing. Depart Tarangire by 07:30 AM, heading northwest through the Ngorongoro highlands en route to Central Serengeti (approx. 6–7 hours with wildlife stops). Arrive in time for a late afternoon game drive from 03:30–06:00 PM across the Seronera Valley, renowned for its predator density. Check into your camp with a welcome drink, enjoy a sunset debrief, and dine under the stars.

Day 3: Central Serengeti – Ndutu Plains (via Ngorongoro Area)

Begin the day with sunrise tea at 06:00 AM and a short morning game drive from 06:30–09:00 AM, tracking big cats or elephant herds. Return to camp for a refreshment break and checkout. Depart at 10:00 AM, heading south toward the Ndutu region via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Stop for a picnic lunch at 01:00 PM, then enjoy an afternoon game drive across the Ndutu woodlands and plains from 02:00–05:00 PM. Arrive at camp by 05:30 PM for evening tea and a 07:30 PM farm-to-table dinner.

Day 4: Full-Day Wildebeest Calving Experience – Ndutu Plains

After sunrise tea at 06:30 AM, depart at 07:00 AM for a calving-focused safari through the Ndutu Plains. From 07:00–10:00 AM, witness thousands of wildebeest giving birth, closely followed by predators like lions, hyenas, and cheetahs. A conservation briefing and refreshment break from 10:00–11:00 AM is followed by extended game viewing through 01:00 PM. Picnic lunch near a waterhole, then continue exploring fresh calving grounds from 02:00–05:00 PM. Return to camp for a lantern-lit dinner at 07:30 PM.

Day 5: Game Drive in Ngorongoro Crater – Overnight in Karatu

Begin early with tea and a 06:00 AM departure from Ndutu toward the Ngorongoro Crater. Arrive at the crater rim by 08:00 AM and descend into the world’s largest intact caldera for a half-day safari (08:00 AM–12:30 PM), with opportunities to see rhinos, elephants, and flamingos. After a picnic lunch near a hippo pool, ascend and continue to Karatu, arriving by 04:30 PM. Check in, relax, and enjoy dinner at your lodge.
