Arrival: Airport-Arusha lodge

Upon arrival at either Kilimanjaro or Arusha Airport between 08:00 and 08:30, you’ll be warmly welcomed by your professional driver-guide. After a brief safety orientation, vehicle demonstration, and trip overview, you'll depart around 09:00 for a scenic transfer to your lodge in Arusha, a journey of approximately 50 minutes. En route, take in the beautiful rural landscapes, dotted with coffee plantations and small village scenes. Upon arrival around 09:50, you’ll check into your lodge, settle into your room, and prepare your gear for the adventure ahead. At 10:30, you’ll join a short session titled “Conservation 101,” a 20-minute introduction to Tanzania’s ecosystems and wildlife etiquette. The rest of your afternoon, from 11:00 to 17:30, is yours to relax—either poolside at the lodge or exploring Arusha town (note: lunch is not included). As the day winds down, gather at 17:30 for light snacks and mocktails while previewing the itinerary for Day 1. Dinner is available at the lodge restaurant at your convenience, offering a chance to rest and recharge for the exciting days ahead.

Day 1: Arusha-Tarangire national park

Start the day early with sunrise tea delivered to your room at 06:30, followed by a hearty breakfast buffet at 07:00 featuring eggs, porridge, fresh fruit, and pastries. At 08:00, embark on a 2.5-hour journey (125 km) to Tarangire National Park with boxed lunches and bottled water provided. Upon arrival around 10:30, enjoy a morning game drive through the park’s striking landscapes—famous for its elephants, ancient baobabs, lions, and vibrant birdlife. Around 13:00, settle down for a picnic lunch under the shade of acacia trees, savoring grilled chicken or vegetarian dishes, fresh salads, fruit, and soft drinks. The adventure continues with an afternoon game drive from 14:00 to 16:30, featuring a 15-minute educational chat on Tarangire’s unique floodplain ecology. Arrive at your camp by 17:30, where you’ll be greeted with cold towels and warm hospitality. Enjoy tea and light snacks at 18:30 while watching the sunset over the plains, followed by a three-course dinner at 19:30 blending local and international flavors.

Day 2: Ngorongoro crater Game Drive

Wake up with sunrise tea and a brief overview of Ngorongoro Crater’s fascinating ecology and expected wildlife sightings at 06:30. After breakfast and final luggage preparations, depart by 07:00 for a scenic 3-hour drive (180 km) through Tanzania’s highlands toward the crater. Arriving around 10:00, begin your descent into this World Heritage Site for a spectacular morning game drive until 12:30. Keep your eyes open for elusive black rhinos, hippos, lions, buffalo, and flamingos set against the backdrop of the caldera. Enjoy a picnic lunch by a hippo pool at 12:30, then continue exploring the crater’s diverse habitats—grasslands, woodlands, and wetlands—on an afternoon game drive from 13:30 to 16:30. Reach your crater-rim camp around 17:00, with time to freshen up or opt for a short nature walk. At 18:30, tea and snacks will be served as you recap the day and discuss the plan for tomorrow, followed by a delicious buffet dinner at 19:30 featuring Tanzanian stews and fresh salads.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National park-Return to Arusha

Begin your final safari morning with a comforting cup of sunrise tea at 06:30, followed by a filling breakfast between 07:00 and 08:00. At 08:00, depart for Lake Manyara National Park, a 2-hour drive (120 km), with boxed lunches provided. Your morning game drive from 10:00 to 12:30 will lead you through the park’s lush groundwater forest and along its shimmering lake shores, where you might spot tree-climbing lions, baboon troops, and hippos on raised trails. Lunch will be enjoyed picnic-style beneath a giant fig tree, featuring sandwiches, salad, fruit, and soft drinks. By 13:30, begin the final leg of your journey with a 1.5-hour drive (95 km) back to Arusha, arriving around 15:00 for drop-off at your hotel or lodge, marking the end of your incredible safari experience.

Your departure day begins at a leisurely pace. Enjoy a relaxing breakfast at the lodge and take some time to pack, reflect, or do some last-minute shopping. At 11:00, your driver will transfer you to Kilimanjaro or Arusha Airport, timed according to your flight schedule. For early departures, packed breakfasts are available upon request.
