Detailed Itinerary
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro or Arusha Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed by your personal driver-guide with chilled bottled water. Enjoy a scenic 50-minute (approx. 68 km) drive through lush highland landscapes, banana groves, and coffee estates before checking in at Forest Hill Hotel nestled at the foot of Mt. Meru. Spend your afternoon unwinding and strolling around the peaceful lodge
After sunrise tea and a hearty lodge breakfast, begin your journey at 8:00 AM with a 2-hour drive (~115 km) to Tarangire National Park. Known for its massive elephant population and iconic baobab trees, the park welcomes you with a morning game drive. After a shaded picnic lunch, continue your wildlife exploration. At 5:30 PM, proceed ~80 km (1.5 hrs) to the highlands of Karatu to settle into Mvuli Mountain Lodge, surrounded by farmland and views of Ngorongoro’s hills
Depart early after breakfast for a scenic 280 km drive (~7 hrs) through Ngorongoro Conservation Area, pausing at the crater rim for panoramic views. Optional detours include a visit to Olduvai Gorge or a Maasai Boma (entry fee applies). Enjoy a packed lunch en route before arriving at Embalakai Serengeti Camp around 5:00 PM. Your first Serengeti game drive may offer glimpses of lions, wildebeest, and zebras
Rise early for sunrise tea and depart at dawn to catch wildlife at their most active. Traverse prime predator territory and migration paths. Pause mid-morning for bush coffee and later enjoy a picnic lunch under a lone acacia. Return to camp by 5:00 PM for rest, dinner, and stargazing under the African sky
Another thrilling day in Serengeti with morning and afternoon game drives exploring new habitats, watering holes, and predator tracks. Use this day to focus on specific wildlife interests—whether it’s cheetahs, hyenas, or giraffes. After your final Serengeti sundowner, enjoy a farewell dinner at camp
Leave Serengeti behind after breakfast for a 3.5-hour (~140 km) drive to the Ngorongoro Crater floor. Descend 600 meters into this UNESCO World Heritage Site for a half-day game drive rich with rhinos, buffaloes, flamingos, and prides of lions. After a picnic lunch at the hippo pool, ascend and drive ~30 km (45 mins) to Mvuli Mountain Lodge in Karatu for the night
Depart after breakfast for a 1.5-hour (~70 km) drive to Lake Eyasi. Spend the morning with the Hadzabe, one of Tanzania’s last true hunter-gatherer tribes. Learn about their unique language, fire-making, and survival techniques. Enjoy a lakeside picnic before driving back to Karatu
After breakfast, transfer to Arusha Airport (~3.5 hrs drive incl. check-in) for your mid-morning flight to Zanzibar. Upon landing, a 1.5-hour (~65 km) drive takes you to The Zanzibari Boutique Hotel in Nungwi. Spend the evening relaxing beachside, followed by a Swahili-style welcome dinner
Spend your day basking in the Indian Ocean breeze—lounge on white sands, snorkel, or enjoy beach cocktails. Optional spa treatments or local excursions are available upon request.
After a free morning, take part in a Swahili cooking class or join a local guide on a Zanzibar food tour. Taste island flavors like octopus curry, pilau, and fresh tropical juices
Embark on a full-day Safari Blue excursion. After an early transfer (~75 km one-way), board a dhow for snorkeling, sandbank walks, and a seafood BBQ on Kwale Island. Return to your hotel by sunset
Begin your morning with breakfast followed by a spa session or a peaceful beach walk. Spend the day at leisure with optional water sports or a cultural visit. At 5:00 PM, enjoy sundowner drinks, then gather for a farewell dinner at 7:00 PM, with an overnight stay at the resort.
Start your morning by packing and enjoying a final breakfast before checking out by 11:00 AM. Then, transfer to the airport, with a packed breakfast available if needed.
