Detailed Itinerary
Your Tanzanian adventure begins with a morning pickup from your Arusha hotel. You will drive southwest towards Tarangire National Park, known as the “Land of Giants.” As you enter the park, the landscape transforms into a dramatic vista of grassy savannah dotted with ancient, bulbous baobab trees and towering termite mounds. You will spend an afternoon game drive exploring this wildlife-rich park, which hosts the largest concentration of elephants in the region. Watch family herds dig for water in the riverbeds and spot other residents like tree-climbing lions, giraffes, zebras, and the rare fringe-eared oryx. In the late afternoon, you will exit the park and drive to your lodge, nestled on a working coffee plantation with stunning views over the surrounding highlands.

After breakfast, you will depart and drive towards the Serengeti National Park. The journey is incredibly scenic as you ascend the Great Rift Valley escarpment, crossing the cool, green highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will stop at the crater rim viewpoint for a breathtaking photo opportunity overlooking the magnificent caldera before descending onto the vast plains. As you pass Naabi Hill Gate, the trees disappear, replaced by the “endless plains” that give the park its name. The drive to the Central Seronera area serves as your first game drive in the park, offering chances to spot wildebeest herds, zebras, and prowling predators. As the sun begins to set, enjoy sundowner drinks overlooking the endless plains before arriving at your camp for the evening.
Meal: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Accommodation: Land of Nature Camp
Rise early for a sunrise game drive in the Seronera Valley, the vibrant heart of the Serengeti. This region is renowned for its year-round wildlife abundance, largely due to the permanent waters of the Seronera River. Your guide will help you track predators, with a special focus on lions and leopards, which are frequently spotted lounging in the branches of sausage trees along the riverbanks. You might also encounter cheetahs using termite mounds as vantage points to scout for prey, or massive prides of lions resting in the shade of kopjes (rocky outcrops). A picnic lunch in the bush allows you to maximize your time viewing the complex interactions of this ancient ecosystem. As night falls, enjoy a starlit dinner at camp, surrounded by the unforgettable sounds of the Serengeti.

This ancient crater is a self-contained ecosystem teeming with approximately 30,000 animals, including the Big Five. You will spend the afternoon exploring the crater floor, with high chances of spotting lions, hyenas, elephants, and the critically endangered Black Rhino. Enjoy a picnic lunch by the hippo pool, with the towering crater walls forming your spectacular backdrop, before ascending to your lodge in Karatu.
