Detailed Itinerary
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro or Arusha Airport, your driver-guide will greet you with chilled mineral water and transfer you to your Arusha lodge. After checking in around 9:30 AM, you can unpack, freshen up, and relax by the pool or explore the gardens. In the early evening, enjoy light snacks and soft drinks during a sundowner preview to go over the next day’s itinerary, followed by dinner on your own at the lodge’s restaurant and an overnight stay at the lodge.
After a hearty breakfast, you’ll embark on a scenic 3-hour drive to Ngorongoro Crater with bottled water and boxed lunches provided. Upon arrival, descend into the crater for a game drive to spot black rhinos, hippos, flamingos, lions, and buffalo. Enjoy a picnic lunch by the lakeside with stunning crater views before transferring to Ndutu. In the late afternoon, take an evening game drive to witness wildebeest herds and listen for lion roars at dusk. Return to camp for a cold-towel welcome, freshen up, and savor a three-course dinner under the open sky, followed by an overnight stay at Ndutu camp.
Start your day with sunrise tea and a briefing on calving ecology, followed by a morning game drive tracking newborn calves and predators like lions, cheetahs, and hyenas. After a short talk on migration and conservation, enjoy tea and pastries at a scenic kopje before continuing your safari to spot giraffes, elands, buffalo, and diverse birdlife near soda springs. A picnic lunch of fresh salads, sandwiches, and fruit awaits under the acacias, after which you’ll embark on an afternoon drive to follow the herds and capture the unfolding wildlife drama. The day concludes with a buffet dinner featuring local and international dishes and an overnight stay at Ndutu camp.
Start your day with a leisurely continental breakfast buffet at 07:00, followed by a 200 km (4-hour) drive to Arusha via Ndutu from 08:00 to 12:00, with en-route stops for final wildlife sightings and boxed lunches provided. Enjoy a picnic lunch under shady trees by a lakeside or roadside from 12:00 to 13:00, then embark on a final game drive before arriving in Arusha by 15:00. Check in at Arusha Lodge to relax, unpack, or explore the town, with the evening free for dinner on your own and an overnight stay at the lodge.
Begin your morning at leisure with breakfast, a spa treatment, or souvenir shopping, followed by an 11:00 airport transfer to Kilimanjaro/Arusha Airport, with a packed breakfast available upon request.
