Keep your eyes open for elusive black rhinos, hippos, lions, buffalo, and flamingos set against the backdrop of the caldera. Enjoy a picnic lunch by a hippo pool at 12:30, then continue exploring the crater’s diverse habitats—grasslands, woodlands, and wetlands—on an afternoon game drive from 13:30 to 16:30. Reach your crater-rim camp around 17:00, with time to freshen up or opt for a short nature walk. At 18:30, tea and snacks will be served as you recap the day and discuss the plan for tomorrow, followed by a delicious buffet dinner at 19:30 featuring Tanzanian stews and fresh salads.

At 08:00, depart for Lake Manyara National Park, a 2-hour drive (120 km), with boxed lunches provided. Your morning game drive from 10:00 to 12:30 will lead you through the park’s lush groundwater forest and along its shimmering lake shores, where you might spot tree-climbing lions, baboon troops, and hippos on raised trails. Lunch will be enjoyed picnic-style beneath a giant fig tree, featuring sandwiches, salad, fruit, and soft drinks. By 13:30, begin the final leg of your journey with a 1.5-hour drive (95 km) back to Arusha, arriving around 15:00 for drop-off at your hotel or lodge, marking the end of your incredible safari experience.
Your departure day begins at a leisurely pace. Enjoy a relaxing breakfast at the lodge and take some time to pack, reflect, or do some last-minute shopping.
